I was asked to attend a Schoology train the trainer session in the summer of 2014. I then was asked to plan and lead an inservice for teachers and staff in the fall of 2014. I showed teachers the basics of Schoology and how they could incorporate it into the classroom to increase parent communication and to engage students.

As part of my grant for getting iPads in the classroom, I also had to lead monthly Pad Chats. Eight teachers met to discuss what was working and what was not working in their classrooms. As part of the chat, I presented a new app each month that I wanted them to try in their classroom with their students. These apps could be used across the curriculum and benefited both students and teachers.
In addition, I also taught a summer course for the new teachers receiving iPads for the 2015-2015 school year. During this session, teachers were introduced to several apps in the creative, assessment, and presentation categories. Teachers were given examples of student work and then give time to explore and thing of ways to incorporate the apps into existing lessons. |
