iPads
I co-wrote a grant to get a classroom set of iPads for two classrooms per grade level in my school building, grade 1-4. Each classroom was equipped with 1 teacher iPad and 7 student iPads. In addition, each teacher received equipment to store and project their iPads, along with a certain amount of money to purchase apps in their classrooms. We also included professional development for the teachers involved in the pilot program. This grant was funded through MCFEE and totaled $30,000.00

I have written numerous grants to help get technology not only in my own classroom but in other classrooms within my school building. For the past two years, I have written a grant through our PTO to get two subscribed websites in my classroom and two fellow teachers' classrooms. One was for VocabularySpelling City, which is dedicated to helping students build their literacy skills. The other is Flobaculary, an online library of educational hip-hop songs and videos for grades K-12.
